Hi there,
My mothers maiden name is Scott and our family genealogy leads to Richard Marr Scott and Lucy Heeps 1834 and I haven't been able to find out any more information other than Winfield Scott USA his father, being John Scott. Do you have any information about John Scott and who his relatives were. Anything would be a start. Thanking you.
Also any other websites or leads that could help me in this regard.

Much appreciated, Lea

I believe I am a descendant to Winfield Scott as well. My Grandmother, Ivy Pickett was the daughter of Thomas Pickett and Louisa Mary Lehmann. Louisa Mary Lehmann was the daughter of Wilhelm Lehmann and Mary Lousia Scott (Marie Louise Scott) and Mary Louisa Scott was the daughter of Richard Marr Scott and Lucy Heeps.
Richard Scott is believed to be the son of Winfiled Scott. In Richards death notice it says he was 'son of the late Gen Winfield Scott of the USA.. American papers please copy". I would love contact with anyone in regards to our family connections.
