First proper snowfall

June 16th, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in Personal

The weather has finally changed to a typical winter pattern, with rain several days a week and snow on the hills.

We had the first good snowfall down to low levels overnight and this morning. Driving to Mount Beauty earlier this week I noticed a dusting of snow on the summits of Bogong and Feathertop, but that was all.

This afternoon, snow was visible on Mount Buffalo down to about 1000 metres, and I assume it’s the same elsewhere.
