Baby spin
Juliet receives a free baby magazine from Coles. According to an article we read today, our toddlers are not destructive; they’re discovering. They’re not terrorists; they’re scientists.
I think it’s all spin. You can make black look white if you want to.

Hi
It’s been ages since I had a squiz at your site.
I must say that I am delighted with today’s topic.
I fully agree with the mag’s view on toddlers. They should be creating some form of havoc everyday(esp as I am way past that stage). Nothing is more dismaying than a toddler who hangs back on the edge of everything too scared to interact with its environment. Toddlers should be wailing at least once a day from a bumped head, jammmed fingers, a parental reprimand, a disappointment or a green eyed monster episode. So long as they smile or giggle several times a day when you read them a story, tickle them, chase them, play with them in the park, hug them and scrape their food off the floor, walls and your hair for the hundreth time. Today’s little monsters are tomorrow’s thinkers. Rather than a case of converting black to white it is more a case of accepting that toddlers take the multi coloured approach to life (usually with their bare hands).
Lots of love to James and Margaret and all the mischief they can conjure.

Hi Ange, nice to hear from you. The twins are sweet and we enjoy their antics. They might be scientists on a mission of exploration, but they’re also terrorists!
I wrote previously about the BLF (Baby Liberation Front) and their demands. Toddlers climb more, make more noise and wreak more havoc, but I wouldn’t change anything.

I like to think that my 11-year old is not lying, he’s auditioning for Presidential Press Secretary.
Or, considering some of the creative stories he sometimes tells, maybe he’s hoping to be his generation’s Burl Ives.
(Maybe he’s just trying to put one over on ol’ dad.)
