Thanks to Kyte, I link readers to the famous Aussie Quiz. Test your knowledge of the vernacular.

I scored 18/20. Kyte managed 20/20, which proves she’s a true Aussie. Let us know your scores in the comments. I suspect there’s a NSW bias to the questions, hence my reduced score!

    You’re a nong as far as the Strine goes.
    …but there may be hope for you yet. After all, you nearly got half of them right… but a miss is as good as a mile in a quiz, innit?

    I’m assuming that line about being an nong as far as the Strine goes is an Aussie compliment regarding my manly parts.

    I believe I heard someone say to Dirk Diggler (in Boogie Nights) upon seeing him naked that he was a nong as far as the Strine goes.

    Of course, that was a long while ago.
