Commonwealth Games tickets
Last year I bought Commonwealth Games tickets in the public ballot. I was pleased to secure family seats for six people to watch the women’s hockey finals.
Unfortunately we won’t now be able to attend. I wrote to the tickets authority before Christmas requesting a refund, although that’s precluded in the terms and conditions.
I figure the gold medal decider will be a sell-out event and they should have no problem reselling the tickets at a higher price.
In the event that they decline a refund, I’ve asked for permission to sell the tickets on eBay to the highest bidder. It’s another condition that tickets can only be resold at face value unless written permission to the contrary is obtained.
My reasoning is that they should refund the cost, and if not, allow me to sell the tickets at the best possible price.
Meanwhile, if anyone is interested in buying these tickets privately, please contact me.
Update: I’ve sold the tickets at face value. Thanks Merrill.
