We went to Lake Ballard today. It’s about 190km north west of Kalgoorlie past Menzies, which is just over 130km. Menzies is a small town with not much there except an interesting collection of old machinery, which James enjoyed playing on.
Lake Ballard was a dry salt pan. There’s a small hill near the car park that offers a great view. Alien-type statues are planted throughout the lake as an arts project.
