I’m taking a look at Windows Live at the moment. It’s a suite of services including email, online gallery, blog, news and messenger.
It has a neat clean interface and the Windows Live Mail is a great improvement on Hotmail.
Google and Yahoo offer similar packages and I’m interested to see where it all leads. The three giants are hoping we’ll be loyal to one of them so our web activity is integrated under their umbrella and advertising can be pitched accordingly.
I’ll continue to float between them. Being an early adopter I have simple addresses with each of them. For anyone who’s interested my “space” is at http://mgorey.spaces.live.com/.

They are all fighting over who will get the most… I wonder which of them will start charging first…
I always hated hotmail, and yahoo mail has failed to stop spam (if its in bulk mail and you collect by POP3…you get the bulk mail too) so for me the options were clear. Google or nothing. I have even moved my domain email to google. Whichever choice you make, you are committing your stuff to a giant of the net… I’m not certain I am happy about any of it, really.
Yes, gmail rules. It’s by far the best. I just think it’s interesting that Yahoo and Hotmail have both significantly improved their offerings.
I’ve never had spam trouble with Yahoo and the beta mail service is much better than the old one. It’s very similar to Windows Live.
