Qantas has a mixed record when it comes to flying in and out of Kalgoorlie. Everyone loves the jet service. It’s fast and comfortable, taking just 45 minutes to reach Perth.

Skywest operates smaller prop-driven flights and they take a little longer, but tend to be more reliable.

Qantas has experienced quite a few delays, the latest being because of a snap strike by baggage handlers in Perth.

A major gripe of people in the Goldfields is that Qantas won’t provide direct flights from Kalgoorlie to and from an eastern states location.

Tiger Airways Enter Tiger Airways? The Singapore-based airline wants to become a domestic carrier in Australia. It’s inviting people to vote for destinations they would like to be on their schedule.

I’d encourage anyone who reads this to visit Tiger’s polling site and vote for Kalgoorlie.
