The world is going mad #1

I’ve got plenty of examples that the world is going mad. I’ll start counting them. According to the Herald-Sun:

Toy soldiers, model war planes and wrestling figurines have been banned in schools across the state in a politically correct crackdown. Primary schools and kindergartens have declared themselves “war toy free zones” and outlawed traditional toys and playground games that have even a tenuous link to war. All schools contacted by the Sunday Herald Sun said they had a policy banning war toys.

The article goes on to say that poison ball is banned as well. That’s a game where you throw the ball over kids in the middle who have to try and catch it to get out of the “poison” area.

When I was a kid we used to play “British Bulldogs” which was a tag game like rugby without a ball. I wonder what education officials today would think of that?

War games are part of a boy’s growing up. They’re an outlet for children’s fantasies and imagination without involving actual violence. Banning them is just stupid.

I thought things like that only happened here, in the US.
