Still kicking

July 3rd, 2007 | No Comments

I haven’t been inspired to write much lately. This post is just to give a general update and to let regular visitors know that I’m still breathing.

Work has been pretty hectic. My new deputy has taken off overseas, thanks Lisa! Her predecessor was due for holidays though, so I can hardly complain. There are going to be five or six weeks a year when I have to fly solo.

There hasn’t been much happening on the national news front to warrant comment. On the State level, there has been an electoral redistribution which reduces the country weighting. I find it interesting, but most people would rather watch grass grow.

Of greater interest, according to the latest Roy Morgan research, Fremantle Docker supporters are 99 per cent more likely to have eaten at Red Rooster in the last four weeks. It doesn’t surprise me that birds of a feather flock together and eat their own.

The research also revealed that Essendon has more supporters than Collingwood. I don’t take much notice of Sydney’s 1.742 million fair-weather fans.
