The $650,000 to disgraced Tasmanian Governor Richard Butler isn’t in that league, but it’s still a lot of money.
Butler’s “resignation” was the right decision and in one respect I feel sorry for him. He clearly wasn’t the right man for the job, and in that regard the blame for his failure should rest with former Premier Jim Bacon, now deceased.
