I have been following you car stories Michael and love the pictures from your childhood photo album.
I think my brother had a scooter and I can remember it having two wheels, they were solid rubber.
My twin sister and I scored big from Father Xmas the year we turned 10, bikes to ride to school. We had to save our pocket money to pay for half our bikes….Father Xmas was doing it tough in those days!
They were exactly the same, in orange (mostly) and with a basket on the front below the handle bars.
I used to cycle with my tabby cat (Flopsy was his name) in the basket.
