School assembly

I went to the weekly school assembly today after we had a tip off that Maggie would be presented with an award.

It turned out to be the “Persistent Percy” award for “persistently having a go at writing her own stories”.

The assembly was cute. With only about 90 children in the school they all got to stand up in front of the group and talk about their projects, dance or read limericks.

I presume the limericks were censored.

I can imagine a few boys I was in Year 7 with starting off: “There was a young lady named Britz …” or something like that.
