I received a bunch of bananas at the office this week from an anonymous admirer.
The dozen bananas came in a box that was labelled with a copy of last week’s footy tipping panel selections.
The Kalangadoo victory was highlighted in the selections by myself and Marvin the Monkey.
The chimp and I were the only members of the “expert” panel to successfully select Kalangadoo against Mount Burr in the Mid South East Football League last weekend.
Marvin amazingly picked four out of four winners in the Mid South East (I picked three) while many other tipsters struck out or only managed one winner.
The monkey is the mascot of The Border Watch sports department and has a reputation for backing outsiders in the tipping competition. Last week he was on the money.
A Kalangadoo supporter must have admired the effort and chose to encourage Marvin by sending some complimentary bananas to the office via yours truly.
