The Carnival is Over

The Carnival is Over has my vote for one of the greatest songs ever.

I nearly included Judith Durham in my list of top 10 Australian change makers. If the list was simply top 10 Australians she would have been there for sure.

I was first introduced to The Seekers through my parents, but unlike most handed down music, I never lost my love of the voices or melodies.

In fact, I’ve grown to appreciate the music more.

Other great songs from The Seekers include Morningtown Ride, Colours of My Life, I’ll Never Find Another You and Georgy Girl:

I am so into the Seekers and I have a CD of their 25 year reunion celebration, live in concert at the Melbourne Concert Hall.

“Red Rubber Ball” and “I Am Australian”, sends me to places in my mind that make me feel like singing.

Another blast from the past feel good master of music, would have to be Tom Jones.
