Autumn has arrived

April 17th, 2004 | No Comments

Autumn has finally arrived. We had 11mm of rain yesterday; just enough to green the grass and turn the season. The maximum today was 15 degrees, but it felt much colder in bike shorts pushing into a fresh breeze at 25kmh!

There are quite a few deciduous trees along the rail trail and they’ve definitely shed a few extra leaves in the last couple of days. There’s something about the smell of wet leaves in autumn. I can’t quite pinpoint what “something” is, but it’s more pleasant than the odor deserves.
