Extra mouths to feed

Juliet asked me to add here that the babies had their first solid food yesterday, aged just under four months. That’s the sort of thing mums regard as a significant milestone.

I tend to take a more pragmatic view that it now means we have two extra mouths to feed. Up until now they’ve been pretty cheap in that regard.

For the record, they had a small helping of farex. Margaret really took to it with great enthusiasm. The idea is they will sleep better at night if they have full tummies.
