The so-called demise of the Lions was greatly exaggerated, judging by Saturday night’s ruthless performance against Essendon.

Jonathon Brown was sensational and wouldn’t have been too happy about being dragged in the final quarter, with 10 goals begging.

The Bombers are in real trouble, especially with Hird injured again. But what about Port Adelaide? Surely the biggest premiership hangover in many years.
