Hannans Rotary web site

I developed a web site for the Hannans Rotary Club, which I’m also hosting. It was announced at the club’s changeover dinner on Friday.

I used Drupal for the first time and was highly impressed. Drupal has an extensive range of themes and modules and an active support community.

New laptop

I indulged and bought myself a new laptop this week. There were some good end-of-financial year sales and this coincided with the mysterious random crash of my desktop PC.

The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 640. It has a 60GB hard drive, DVD RW, 1024MB RAM, Intel 1.66 processor and all the bells and whistles for networking.

Windows XP was pre-installed and this weekend I’ve successfully added Kanotix. I’m in the process of installing Puppy megapup with KDE and Grafpup multimedia. Read more

A new Aussie

Juliet became an Australian citizen on 30 May 2006. She is pictured with the Mayor of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Mr Ron Yuryevich.

She is now a dual citizen of South Africa and Australia.
