It's been a weird start to Summer here in Perth, too. Or perhaps it's just a typically mucked-up "climate change" Summer. We're becoming used to the seasons being out of whack so it's not all that surprising that there's been a wet November and downpours to start December. The plants are responding by growing out of season or not all. Deciduous plants are becoming evergreens as Winter warms and Summer cools.

Delmer, according to my web research, Hilliard, Ohio, is about 40 degrees north, while Mount Gambier, South Australia, is about 38 degrees south.

But your winters are much colder.

I think that's because you have a large land mass to the north of you, while we're 30km from the Southern Ocean with nothing between that and Antarctica for thousands of miles.

It was 19 here this morning and is currently 27. It won't get above 32 until Monday.

Converted to C that would be -7, -3 and 0. I'm not complaining as I don't mind the cold so much as long as we have some sun (as we do today). Cold and overcast feels so much colder.

I'll be going to Canada tomorrow where the temps will be about 20 degrees F warmer (based on today's temps). It'll be about 6 to 8C each day I'm there. It's unlikely I'll get a sunburn.
