First day of school

First day of school
Jim and Maggie had their first day of school at Suttontown Primary today.

They celebrated their fifth birthday in December and “graduated” last year from Gladigau Park Kindergarten.

I escaped from work to see them through the school gate. I’m disappointed with the picture though. This was the first one.

Then I asked the twins to put their hats on because they were squinting so much.

The exposure was much better, but Maggie had her eyes closed every time, then we had to move out of the gate and go to the classroom.

We’ve just entered a heatwave here, but the kids got through today okay.

The only hiccup was Jim wore two left boots to school. Vanilla Bear will like that.

The picture of Kathleen (below) at Porepunkah in 1999 was technically much better. She started Year 10 today and Michael started high school (Year 8).

What?? he really wore two left boots !?!?
    Oh my god..they are unbelievable!!

Anyway, are you already exploring manual settings of your new camera? How’s that going?
Yep, Kathleen’s pic is technically much better, great focus and exposure, with a lovely pose!
But you know, it’s just a different style (for different kids)! :D

    See you !

    Very cute.

I love the two left boots.

It’s interesting that they’re wearing what look like kids’ size R.M. Williams boots. That’s something you’d never see in Perth, or perhaps in any city.

How could Jim walk as far as the gate in two left boots? They’re either loose or he’s got a high tolerance for discomfort.
