I used to travel near Bristol, Va as I headed up the mountain into Wise (Home of more fiddlers) and eventually into Kentucky, where I was a disc jockey.

Anyway, I did something similar where I got an inbound telephone in both London and also Scotland, just because I could. I don’t know anybody in London excpt perhaps an acquaintance. I have been looking for a free inbound number in Australia to add to my collection

I run a business, but international shipping costs usually keep international buyers from purchasing. Still I like to play with PBX software and phones.

Have you seen the OBI110 which works with GoogleVoice? http://obihai.com

I think I used a Gizmo5 number to register with Sipgate. Unfortunately, Gizmo isn’t accepting new users since being acquired by Google.

I wonder if you could buy a USA Skype number and use that?

This is weird, when I try to use the sipgate signup page, it asks for a US phone number to send an SMS confirmation to…great…chicken and eye…*sigh*.

Has anybody else had issues with signing up to sipgate from Australia?

Hmm, actually, if anybody has a sipgate number already, any chance you could help activate my Google Voice account? Pretty please? =_).

hi, I just got a number through sipgate and requested for an invite form google. Do I have to enable ip hiding the whole time I am waiting for an invite ?

I’ve requested an invite and currently have to access my mail regualrly through my mobile phone and computer. Do you have any idea if I can use my google service in this time or not.

I love Google Voice. Their SMS feature in truth got me into it. I can send off free text messages to Bangladesh, India, and USA. It saves me good money on my texting plan from Verizon Wireless because I can use that to send now. I think Google always does a wonderful job of giving users what they require and need. I have found in the future they are mixing Voice with the Android. Plus they purchased a new VoIP company which they will mix with the other two to give some outstanding features. I need to get myself an Android now haha.
