I grew up in Kal as a good friend of the oloughlens. Joan worked at the miner for years and fred worked on the mines. Joan passed quite some years ago while fred only in the last twelve months, after living in retirement in Kal.. They left two sons and a daughter who now live in perth and albany.

Hello, Diann, Arthur’s sister Lucina (wife of George Moye NSW) is my great grandmother.
Their mother, Susannah, daughter of William and Lucy Duke, was born in Hobart. She died in WA in 1919. She is supposed to be buried at Pinjarra…however the records on-line do not show any record

Did you find out any further information about Arthur’s line? If you have any further details about Susannah…any photos…? etc, I would be very happy to hear from you

trying to get information about robert kay scott and his wife annie agnes who lived in 56 north terrace boulder as late as 1980. Robert was my grandfather’s brother. I can find his death notice but unable to trace Annie after 1980.Any information would be helpful as I am tracing family history and have some gaps I would like to fill. Thank you Spencer Myers

I worked with Peter for a number of years at Kalgoorlie College. Peter did have a passion for flying and I remember when Peter was doing his pilot’s licence I was privileged to go up with him.

Peter was killed in Toodyay in Western Australia.

My great grandmother was Annie O’Loughlin B:abt 1861and both she and her sister Beatrice O’Loughlin B:? came to Aus. from Ireland after the premature death of their parents. Beatrice married Charles Traboldt abt 1889 and I believe they either owned or ran a hotel in Kalgoorlie. Charles died 1924 and Beatrice abt 1942 they are both burried in Coolgardie, Kalgoorlie. The sisters had a brother James and he worked in a hotel in Adelaide with Beatrice some time after they arrived in Aus. O’Loughlins also ran a hotel in Perth. I think they had an Aunt McCann with them in Aus most likely she settled in Adelaide. James died in Adelaide 1929 and Annie in 1930 in Mildura Vic. Annie married John Smith and they had 10 children, one was my grandmother. Don’t know if this is of help…hope so, cheers Lynette

Beatrice married Charles at Kalgoorlie in 1899. Charles died in 1924 and Beatrice in 1942 at Coolgardie. I am after the names of her family member in South Australia. Cheers Ian
