My oldest turned 13 in September. As you say, life was a lot different back then … it did seem to zip by though.

(BTW, the snow/sleet continues.)

Of course we focus on stereotypes – thats usually all we know.. And I’m sure there are Australians not liking the beach. Although I find that less understandable than disliking snow )

It’s pox something, so I guess then it’s chicken pox.

It’s not so cold, around -5C where I am. But there is a lot of snow, it’s been snowing now for over a week. But so far this has been a mild winter.

It was different the year I lived in Brazil.. when we left to go to Norway for Christmas, it was 35C. When we arrived here, it was -20C. Now, that’s cold )

What a sweetheart ) Congratulations to Kathleen and her mum and dad too.

My son is 7, and we’re at home because he has smallpox (I think thats what its called in English). It almost hard to remember when he was totally dependant on me, seems like ages ago.

That’s a great article you linked to; a Norwegian not liking the snow is like an Australian not liking the beach!

I might start a new blog entry on that because I understand where you’re coming from. We tend to focus on stereotypes.

That’s probably chickenpox or measles Iskwew. best wishes to your son for a quick recovery. Is it very cold there now?

I read Delmer’s blog and there’s a lot of snow in Ohio, USA, on the other side of the Atlantic from you, but we’ve heard here about cold weather in England too.
