James holding a young crocodile.
It was the first commercial crocodile operation established in Queensland and today has more than 3000 animals.
The fascinating tour was a highlight of our trip so far, something unique.
We saw baby crocodiles hatch from their eggs, watched adults feed and got to hold a small crocodile.
There was a restaurant offering crocodile dishes (rather expensive so we didn’t dine) and a range of crocodile leather goods for sale.
I liked the idea of eating crocodile … eat them before they eat you.
Apparently the white meat tastes like something between fish and pork.

Eeeks!
I don’t think I could eat, or wear, crocodile!
But I might be willing to hold one… maybe.
