I have renewed my details on the Federal Government's Do Not Call Register. The Do Not Call Register is an Australian Government initiative that enables people to opt out of receiving certain telemarketing calls. Phone numbers on the list automatically drop off after three years unless a household reapplies, meaning the listings of the million-plus people who signed up at the register's launch in May 2007 are due to lapse. Consumers will be shielded from any risk if they reregister directly.
