Wordnik online dictionary

There is a wonderful new online dictionary called Wordnik. It looks good, loads fast and gives useful information. Wordnik is far superior to any other web dictionary I’ve seen. A key feature is that words are shown in context. Along with definitions, example sentences show how the word is used. There are also links to the word’s usage on Twitter and Flickr. All up, it’s just an incredibly neat package. I’ve bookmarked the site in my toolbar and plan to use it extensively. And it’s free. In the Wordnik FAQ they modestly proclaim: “We figure that once we have at least some information for every word in English, updated in real time, world domination will just fall in our laps.” It’s the dominant online dictionary as far as I’m concerned.
