I had an hour to fill in town today, so I wandered around with a camera. This picture is looking toward Jens Hotel from the Old Town Hall, showing a fountain.
The others are thumbnails of sights around the CBD. Click on the picture for a larger view and more information.

Your Mount Gambier posts never fail to make me feel ever so slightly homesick.

Once again, I love things like this. The Town Hall reminds me of some of the town halls we have in not necessarily smaller towns, but towns that have resisted the urge to tear down old buildings and slap up something new and generic looking. Now that I’ve taken a second look the Town Hall pictured doesn’t look all that old — just interesting.
In any case, things like that (and the hotel) give a town character.

You’re right Delmer. Buildings give a town character.
