A League soccer came to Mount Gambier this afternoon when Perth Glory played Adelaide United in a pre-season cup game.
The crowd was about 4000, slightly lower than expectations, perhaps due to showery weather in the early afternoon.
The game finished in a scoreless draw, which was disappointing for the fans. I think my son Michael was the only person in the crowd wearing a Perth Glory shirt.
We moved here from Western Australia and I took Michael to a Perth game against Newcastle while we were on holiday at Mandurah in 2007.
Yesterday we went to Sportspower where several of the Perth Glory players were chatting to customers and signing autographs.
Today’s game had no goals, but the short video above shows Adelaide mounting a strong attack.
