I am a centrist moderate social authoritarian.

Left: 0.72, Authoritarian: 1.81

political spectrum quiz

Thanks to Ariane, who is a self-confessed left-wing raving loony, I discovered the political spectrum quiz, which declared me to be a “centrist moderate social authoritarian”.

Seeing the results displayed in graphic form makes more sense than the label.

It sort of matches my self-perception of leaning to the left on economic/industrial issues while being socially conservative.

You’re almost right there in the middle.

I was near Ariane, but she’s a little more left than me.

  2. Retarius says:

I just tried it and received the following assessment:

    “A far-left moderate social authoritarian
    Left: 8.3, Authoritarian: 3.48″

I think the “far left” is reflection of American perceptions. They think that anyone who doesn’t believe in public flogging for unmarried mothers is a “liberal”.

    (er…sorry, Dina.)

  3. Adam Naiova says:

    Here is my result:

    ‘A centre-left social libertarian
    Left 1.73, Libertarian 5.51′

The result is basically what I expected.

It fits my own self-perception of being mildly centre-left on economic/industrial issues and moderately socially progressive.

You are definitely correct that the American political spectrum is very different from that found in Australia or virtually any other Western nation.

For instance, I am economically centrist (leaning left) here in Australia, but would be considered a liberal Democrat in the USA.

Awesome I am the same with different point ratios.

My score: centrist moderate social authoritarian.
    Left: 0.87, Authoritarian: 3.11
