Maybe your kids will get into reading, bet they wouldn’t be too thrilled if it was suggested as an alternative to the telly though. Be bit like a lead ballon…books instead of telly.
Kids may well be forgiven for thinking their life was over without television, having being conditioned to live in a tech-no driven culture and society.

Would you like to return to history? Hunter gatherers, the image kind of wears off…when you have been a bit comfy and cared for.

That’s terrible. Luckily we had a bar fridge to fall back on, but for a family of six! At least we’re heading into winter.

They don’t make fridges like they used to.

Ours was about five years old. We called several repairers and they said the compressor was blown, it’s not worth fixing, may as well buy a new one!

Our TV is dying as well. I can do without that, but not the kids.

My fridge blew up just before Easter. I had just filled it with meat, vegies, milk, fish and other goodies.

You can just imagine how I abused the English language. I walked all over town pricing fridges, becoming disgusted, disillusioned and depressed.

After a week without a trusty fridge, living on black tea and dry bikkies, I had a serious look at my budget before I settled for a small bar fridge, having secured a small loan.
We take all of our conveniences for granted, until something goes wrong, we lose a sense of security along with the item we depended on.

The thing I miss most about my old fridge, is the size. It just doesn’t fit with my expectations, or requirements per survival needs etc.

Convenience comes with a big price tag.

It was great Ebony, all thanks to Kevin.

Now we just have to figure out how to afford a new fridge and wood for the fire, etc.

The memories will last forever though.

I enjoyed your random comments Michael.
I am so jealous of those killer suntans you are all wearing.
People in the rainy Mount must look at bit pale, but don’t
worry because you will soon blend back into the scenery.
The tans will soon fade but you will always have the memories.

Thanks for sharing….I feel a bit like I have been on a random holiday, just from reading about yours.
